A Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership executive will travel this month to Europe. Vice President of Business Development Dale Buuck plans to promote the region to companies in Italy.
Fort Wayne, Ind. — The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership announced today that Dale Buuck, vice president of business development, will be traveling to Europe in May. The trip is intended to promote Northeast Indiana to European companies who have an interest in establishing operations in the Midwest and introducing Northeast Indiana as a possible location.
Buuck will visit some countries including Italy. During the trip, he will meet with company executives involved in the automotive supply chain, medical device production and general advanced manufacturing. Buuck will also meet with representatives from chambers of commerce, who provide location recommendations to businesses looking to expand.
“Automotive component suppliers in Europe have been increasingly interested in opening facilities close to Detroit. Northeast Indiana’s proximity makes it a great opportunity for companies looking to enter the Midwest market,” said Buuck. “The trip will allow us to familiarize these companies with Northeast Indiana and the region’s flourishing business climate.”
While in Europe, Buuck will focus on generating new business for the Partnership’s 10-county region, which is comprised of Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells and Whitley counties.
The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership was formed in 2006 to help build a globally competitive economy in Northeast Indiana.
